A few more photos from my weekend trip to Merseyside. On Sunday, I took the train under the river and over to New Brighton – how could I not – before walking down to Birkenhead and back under again. Plenty of transport infrastructure to get excited about!

Why are HMRC’s digital services so bad? Abysmal in every conceivable way: design, information architecture, content design, user experience, frontend… I dread having to use one of their services. It’s almost as if the last 10 years in government digital never happened.
