How valuable are CSS and HTML skills now browsers have matured?
For this month’s net magazine, Martin Cooper asked me to provide some thoughts on this question prompted by a recent exchange between Jeff Croft and Jeffrey Zeldman.
Logo for plumber.js (final iteration)
This is the final iteration for this logo, for now at least. I’ve simplified the shading further and tweaked the kerning. I like that the pipe is now white, and not an off-grey too.
To think I was only going to spend an evening on this…!

Taking on-board earlier feedback, a flatter rendition of the pipework, a new typeface (Bree Serif) and a new colour; the blue is the same as that used for the sky in Super Mario Bros—subtle!
