Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa
“Time for big school.”
A Silicon Valley bar
Jeffrey Zeldman:
A million people in Silicon Valley walk into a bar. No one buys anything. Bar is declared a rousing success.
Ron Burgundy announces Anchorman sequel
Best news I’ve heard all year.
Richard Madeley
David Sim:
When I fell asleep in front of BBC1, dinosaurs were on. When I awoke, Richard Madeley had traced his ancestors. Seems a waste of evolution.
My weekend at the Fringe
Having enjoyed the Edinburgh Fringe when I attended for the first time last August, I was determined to do it all over again. A long bank holiday weekend and a number of shows by comedians I’ve been longing to see, left few excuses not to return. Here are my thoughts on each performance I saw this time round.
Star Wars iPad briefing
Another Adam Buxton YouTube classic:
A long time ago, in a galaxy blah blah away… Big Jobs does his best to convince a sceptical Rebel Alliance that the i-Pad really is a game changer.
Do something funny for money
This Friday is Red Nose Day, the main fundraising event in support of Comic Relief, a charity that supports projects in the UK and Africa.
Important things
One of my favourite comedians stars in a new show starting on Comedy Central this week.
Christian Bale rant: Batman edition
I’ve not been able to get enough of Christian Bale’s recent rant on the set of Terminator 4, yet sadly there has only been audio available for this moment of madness.
Luckily, Joe Butcher has created this brilliant animated accompaniment, which sees Bale in his celebrated role as Batman, shouting at his sidekick Robin. If you haven’t heard the rant yet, be warned that it contains explicit content. Via @cyberdees
