A few weeks after my stay in Montreal, I spent ten days touring New York and my home town of San Francisco with my good friend Ellen, who braved the long flight over the Atlantic to come see me in America.

Whilst I was back in the UK, a friend told me I should blog more about what I’m getting up to here in the States. I think that sounds like a great idea, and comes at a time when I plan on making the most of my summer here in California.
