Living in America

Just a quick post to let you all know I’m safe and well in hot and sunny California.

Yesterday I settled into what will be home for the next three months (photos to follow) before visiting the local supermarket to stock up with food. This was ‘Whole Foods’, a superstore famed for it’s moral values, so nearly everything I brought there was organic  —  but without the prices you would expect in the UK.

Hopefully I will have something more insightful and thoughtful to say in the next week, but needless to say, all comments and e-mails are very much welcomed. Hopefully time permitting I can reward you with many photos of Palo Alto and San Francisco, and perhaps even a podcast or two. This all of course depends on how long I have to wait to get my hands on a lovely new MacBook Pro!

Whole Foods is pretty expensive compared to other food stores, although prices in California are generally much higher than the rest of the U.S., so it is all relative. Glad that you like the U.S. (or at least what you have seen of it)

Glad you've settled in well and already appreciating the low cost living of the US. Looking forward to some photos and the like.

You'll be glad to hear the Multipack site was launched last night so we'll be expecting a full presentation on Web 2.0 applications in Ning.com when you return in 3 months time.

Damn you swanning off to America!

However, you're missing out on loads of "buzz" for Multipack. Colly and John Oxton have joined us, along with 2 or more others registering from the site...

Good to hear/read that you've arrived safe and sound and you're feeling positive. :) Good luck with everything, and well done for being brave enough to leave the country! It's the only way forward in my opinion!

What can I say?
It's been so long I've been visiting your web and finally I found the courage to talk...to comment something.
I am so glad that you have a new job and knowing that you're in America well settled and all that.
Just let you know that "in the other side of the continent" you've got a friend...somebody who's "taking care of you"
And of course I'm also waiting for some posts and pics.
I hope you really enjoy the three months. Huge kisses.
